RSP delivered a 50-shot volcanic catastrophe with a shockwave, lava bombs, debris, a pyroclastic cloud, burning and collapsing structures, digital doubles and CG rock work.
My part
I began as VFX Producer, closely involved in bidding, the award of work and production planning around the early rock-smashing work. I also helped establish the production and delivery requirements. Once the production was established, I handed day-to-day responsibility to another internal team and continued in an Executive Producer support role.
Why it mattered
This was a case for setting up the work, making a deliberate handover and remaining available at executive level, rather than staying embedded in every creative decision.
