RSP was the principal VFX provider, delivering more than 600 shots over 18 months across creatures, portals, fire, ice, blood and gore, and the extended Cole, Sub-Zero and Scorpion climax.

My part

As Bidding Producer, I was part of the business development team supporting RSP’s bid before it was handed over for award.

For Outworld, I worked directly with production VFX Supervisor Chris Godfrey to determine the plates, photogrammetry and environment reference needed at Leigh Creek. I brought those requirements together into an acquisition plan and worked with production and the drone team to test feasibility, prioritise coverage and confirm camera and lens considerations.

I attended the two-day shoot and worked directly with the acquisition team, recording takes against the planned coverage and adapting the plan on location to capture additional hero framings. Afterwards, I supplied shoot notes and reference that connected the captured material back to the planned VFX work.

Why it mattered

My involvement carried the acquisition plan from the VFX requirements into the location shoot and back to the artists. That continuity helped connect what the environment team needed with what was actually photographed.
