Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny became one of the defining productions of my time as Senior VFX Producer at Rising Sun Pictures. As a principal VFX vendor, RSP contributed approximately 300 shots and was responsible for the film's New York material.

My part

As Senior VFX Producer, I worked closely with Lucasfilm VFX Producer Kathy Siegel, production VFX Supervisor Andrew Whitehurst and RSP VFX Supervisor Julian Hutchens across a substantial and evolving body of work. I was a key production contact between the client and RSP, connecting creative review, technical problem solving and production planning as questions arose across photographed performance, CG, environments, face replacement, lighting, compositing, colour and delivery.

Why it mattered

A decision in one discipline could change what another team needed to do. My role was to understand those connections and bring the right people together when a creative or technical question remained unresolved, so the approach, schedule and resources could develop together.

Recognition

2024 AACTA Award for Best Visual Effects or Animation. Ian Cope and RSP VFX Supervisor Julian Hutchens were recipients alongside Andrew Whitehurst, Kathy Siegel and Alistair Williams.
