RSP delivered 223 shots, most within an approximately eight-minute recreation of the 1966 Daytona race, with a historically accurate speedway, crowds and period cars.

My part

I brought the opportunity into RSP through an existing client relationship and helped grow the assignment. Working with the client’s VFX supervisor and producer, I worked through sequence requirements and alternative production scenarios as the bid developed, and maintained the relationship through delivery.

Why it mattered

The work received a VES Award nomination and an AEAF Special Merit Award. It also shows the quieter value of a client relationship that can bring an opportunity into the studio, expand it and stay intact through completion.
